Acceptable Use & AI Policy

Dynasty Portrait turns your own photos into AI-generated portraits in traditional Chinese dress. This page explains what the AI is, what you may not use it for, how we check content and what happens if the rules are broken. It is part of our Terms of Service.

How the portraits are made

• Every portrait is generated by one third-party AI image model: OpenAI GPT Image 2.5, run through fal.ai. We are an independent service and are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by OpenAI or fal.ai.
• You do not type prompts. You upload a photo and choose a style, headwear and outfit from fixed menus; we turn those choices into the instructions sent to the model.
• Every result is AI-generated, not a photograph. Previews carry an "AI preview" watermark, before→after images are labelled "AI-generated", and all downloaded files say they are AI-generated in their image metadata. Please keep that context when you share them, for example with your platform's "AI-generated" label.

What you may not create or upload

1. Sexual or nude content. No nudity, sexual or suggestive content of anyone. Our outfits are fully dressed by design.
2. Violence or gore. No graphic violence, injury, weapons used against people or self-harm imagery.
3. Hate or harassment. No content that demeans people for race, ethnicity, religion, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, disability or similar traits, and no content meant to bully, mock or threaten someone.
4. Minors. Photos of anyone under 18 are not allowed — the service is for adults portraying themselves only. Any sexualisation of minors is absolutely prohibited and will be reported to the relevant authorities (including NCMEC where applicable).
5. Deepfakes and impersonation. Only upload a photo of yourself, with only you in it. The service never combines several people into one image. No photos of other people, public figures, celebrities or politicians, and no portraits meant to deceive, defame or pretend to be someone.
6. Copyright and trademarks. Only upload photos you have the right to use. No other people's artwork, logos, brand characters or copyrighted material.

How we check content

• Before generating, you confirm the photo shows you and that you are 18 or older.
• Only single-person portraits are offered: one photo in, one person out. There are no couple, group or face-swap features.
• There are no free-text prompts — only fixed style menus that we wrote and review — so the service cannot be steered toward the content above through prompts.
• Every upload and request passes through the image provider's built-in safety system, which blocks sexual, violent and other unsafe content. Blocked requests are not delivered and the credit is returned.
• We review reports and suspicious activity by hand, and keep minimal logs to investigate abuse.

What happens if the rules are broken

• We remove the content and any related images from our storage.
• We may suspend or permanently close the account, without a refund of credits used for violating content.
• We block repeat abuse by account, email and device signals.
• Where the law requires it, or where a child may be at risk, we report to the authorities.

Report a problem

If you see a portrait made with Dynasty Portrait that breaks these rules, or that uses your face without permission, email support@dynastyportrait.com with the subject "Content report" and a link or screenshot. We acknowledge reports within 2 business days and remove confirmed violations as fast as we can. Takedown requests from the person shown in an image are always honoured.
