· Contact page, what's new, and a faster homepage
- Added a contact page and this what's new page.
- The homepage sample portraits load faster.
- The About page now names who runs Dynasty Portrait.
· New guide: qipao vs cheongsam
- Published a guide to where the names qipao and cheongsam come from and how the dress changed from 1920s Shanghai to 1960s Hong Kong.
· New guide: the mamianqun horse-face skirt
- Published a guide to the Ming dynasty mamianqun, how it's built and how women and men wear it.
· Zanhua guide and a bot check on free previews
- Published “What Is Zanhua?”, our guide to the Xunpu flower crown from Quanzhou.
- Added a quick bot check before free previews, so free credits go to real people.
· Blog, About page and solo portraits
- Launched the blog with a guide to Chinese New Year 2027 outfits.
- Added an About page and answers to common questions on the homepage.
- Portraits are now of one adult only: the person who uploads the selfie. Couple and parent-and-child modes were removed.
- Every portrait now comes from a single image model, named on our AI & acceptable use page.
· Style pages, new checkout and AI labels
- Each look now has its own page: Xunpu flower crown, Ming horse-face skirt, qipao, Song dynasty hanfu and tang suit.
- Checkout moved to Waffo, our Merchant of Record.
- Published our AI & acceptable use policy, and every portrait is labelled as AI-generated.
- The support email now appears on every page.
· Pick your crown and outfit, HD portraits
- You now choose the headwear and outfit; pose, expression and background change with every portrait.
- Men's looks for every style, including a men's Ming look, chosen by the gender you pick.
- HD portraits without a watermark, each with a before→after image.
- A My portraits gallery to find everything you've made.
- Smaller, better-balanced flower crowns, a cream embroidered robe and a lantern-night scene for the Xunpu look.
- The upload button is now always in English, whatever language your phone uses.
· Dynasty Portrait launches
- Upload one selfie, choose a look and get a full-body watermarked preview. Sign in with Google for more free previews.
